I Like The Way U Move | Series Preview (BBC Three)

Dropping as a boxset on BBC iPlayer Sunday 17 October, I Like The Way U Move is a brand new BBC Three reality series, where professional dancers and rookie non-dancers compete to find their perfect partner both on and off the dance floor.

Renowned choreographer, dancer and actress, Kaelynn 'KK' Harris is the resident dance expert, and is joined by a glittering array of guest judges. The series also features Jamie Laing, who is no stranger himself to the dance floor, having reached last year’s Strictly final.

In the series, professional dancers are introduced to the rookies at a mixer. If the sparks fly, the rookies are invited back to the I Like The Way U Move house, where they have 48 hours to rehearse and master a routine with their professional dance partner.

Episode one Five professional dancers (Charlotte, Jayden, Josh, Lee and Shola) are introduced to the rookies at a mixer. If the sparks fly, the rookies are invited back to the I Like The Way U Move house, where they have 48 hours to rehearse and master an intimate dance routine with their professional dance partner.

Episode two With less than 24 hours to go before the couples perform the first Dance Off, emotions are running high back at the house. One of the rookies reveals he’s catching feels… while a pro confesses they’re more in the Friend Zone.

EastEnders star and Strictly Come Dancing finalist Maisie Smith joins Jamie and KK at the Dance Off, where the couple with the strongest chemistry are in the chance of winning a prize date... but the least fire couple will be eliminated from the competition.

Episode three At the second mixer, there’s a chance for a pro to swap their rookie for a new on-dancer… and nerves are high: will this be the end of the road for some of the rookies?

Feathers are ruffled when a new pro, Rhianna, is introduced to the house and reveals one of the already taken Rookies is just her type.

Strictly star Giovanni Pernice joins KK and Jamie at the Dance Off, where the couples are given another chance to prove their chemistry and stay in the competition.

Episode four Trouble is brewing in the house, as one of the pros worries their rookie is becoming too complacent. And another new pro, Rachel arrives, looking for a partner.

West End star Layton Williams joins KK and Jamie at the Dance Off, where one couple finds themselves on dangerous ground…

Episode five With the house reeling from the previous evening’s events, a new pro, Sara, enters the competition, quickly causing a stir among the established couples.

The next morning, the couples are given the shock news that the pros will be riding solo at the next mixer. The rookies will be left behind, only discovering their fate when their pro returns with or without a new partner.

At the Dance Off, MOBO Award-winning rapper and singer Lady Leshurr joins KK and Jamie to judge the most and least fire couples, helping to decide who stays and who leaves the competition.

Episode six A shock exit has left the remaining couples in no doubt that chemistry must show on the dancefloor in order for them to remain in the competition. No one can be complacent.

Strictly star and South African champion Johannes Radebe joins KK and Jamie at the Dance Off, ready to judge the couples on their chemistry on the dancefloor.

Episode seven It’s the semi-final! As the pressure mounts, the couples rehearse their new themed dances and Jamie and KK surprise the couples with a treat for their hard work: a couples retreat and pampering session, where they can bond and build more of a connection. BBC Radio 1 DJ and television presenter Clara Amfo joins Jamie and KK at the Dance Off, where the couples compete to reach the final.

Episode eight It’s the I Like The Way U Move final! The final themes are revealed and the new routines are designed to be the ultimate test for their chemistry and connection on the dance floor. At the Dance Off, Strictly champion Oti Mabuse joins Jamie and KK for their final chance to show their chemistry on the floor.
