DIY SOS Gladiators Special | Preview (BBC One)

In East Yorkshire, Nick and the DIY SOS team step in to help a youth club that has lost its home – and this time, they’re joined by the Gladiators. The Cherry Tree Community Centre once gave local children a warm, safe place to play, make friends and find support.

But when the pandemic hit, their building was turned into a food pantry, now helping more than 150 families every week. Nearly five years on, the youth club has nowhere permanent to go, meeting in the local park with nothing but a small gazebo for shelter.

With another bitter winter on the way and the club close to closing for good, the DIY SOS team – with muscle, humour and heart from the Gladiators – take on the challenge of building a new, purpose-built youth centre on the edge of the park.

And with only nine days to turn an empty patch of grass into a safe, welcoming home, the pressure is huge. Expect mud, chaos and a massive show of community spirit as Beverley comes together to give its young people a place they can finally call their own.
