The Cotswolds with Pam Ayres | Preview (Channel 5)

Poet Pam Ayres is to explore the Cotswolds in a new four-part series for Channel 5.

Pam Ayres, who has lived in the area for 30 years, will go beyond picture postcard images to reveal the gems of one of Britain’s most beloved areas.

She will journey to Winston Churchill’s birthplace, board the historic Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway and meet former Blur bassist Alex James, who will explain why he swapped life as a rockstar to run a Cotswolds farm.

Channel 5 factual commissioning editor Lucy Willis said: "Pam Ayres’ cheeky sense of humour makes her a wonderful guide through one of the loveliest parts of Britain”.

The Cotswolds With Pam Ayres begins Friday 17th September at 8pm on Channel 5.
