Two years after being pulled from the schedule, the fourth and final episode of Channel 5's reboot of Challenge Anneka is finally coming to TV... albeit in a late night slot.

Thirty years after she donned her legendary jumpsuit, Anneka Rice is packing up the big blue truck, jumping into her famous buggy and calling on the selflessness, goodwill and big hearts of the nation. And the Challenges are bigger than ever.

The team have just three days to complete each project. With sidekick Dave the soundman in tow, Anneka and her army must hit the ground running, grasp the big challenge and harness the power of hundreds of helpers, trades, experts and the local community to help her make people’s dreams come true.

They may be miles from the sea, but the Luton Sea Cadets help hundreds of young people from 10 up to 18 years old learn confidence and new skills, and District Warrant Officer Martin and Volunteer Vicki are challenging Anneka to refurbish their dilapidated barracks. Anneka must also design and mint a medal to commemorate the grand opening of Luton Sea Cadets’ newly refurbished barracks and build a river pontoon to help bring the sea to these landlocked cadets. No easy feat in three short days!

With Luton airport on her doorstep, Anneka realises she might be able to rustle up volunteers in the way of returning holiday makers. After Anneka takes command of the loudspeaker system, the team are soon inundated with offers.

With the build underway, she turns her attention to the other part of the challenge - the medal. She wastes no time in getting the cadets to design it, and when Anneka heads off to Portsmouth - the centre of the sea cadets training operation - she sees for herself the scope of what the organisation can offer and what they can add to the challenge back in Luton.

Anneka realises another way she can help beyond the challenge - she wants to get her cadets some boats. They’re Sea Cadets after all! Despite being right next to Luton Airport, they have access to a training lake so Anneka bursts into RS Sailing the world's biggest sailing dinghy manufacturer. She has her heart set on boats to give to the cadets to launch off the newly constructed pontoon and it's not long before she gets a resounding yes!

With the final day in full swing, Anneka receives word that a surprise donation of £25k from the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation has come through to her team back at the big blue truck. Knowing the Sea Cadets struggle with transporting their members, Anneka uses the cash to impulse buy a mini bus as a total surprise for Martin and the Cadets to be unveiled at the grand opening.

With the Luton Sea Cadets and local troops brought in to give a real military flavour, already beginning to assemble for the grand parade, will the pontoon and accommodation be ready in time? A 3.00am power cut means the team has to down tools at a critical time; but will they be able to make up the time for the grand opening? Will it be ‘ship ahoy’ for Anneka’s nautical challenge?

Challenge Anneka airs Sunday 5th October at 10:30pm on 5.
