Following its record-breaking debut earlier this year, the highly anticipated hit U&Originals drama, Bergerac, is back for a second series.

Damien Molony (The Split, Brassic) returns as the complex Jim Bergerac - a brilliant detective grappling with life as a recovering alcoholic and widower. He is joined once again by Zoë Wanamaker (My Family, Black Ops) as Charlie Hungerford, Robert Gilbert (Big Boys, Killing Eve) as Barney Crozier, and Chloé Sweetlove (The Crow Girl, My Husband's Double Life) as Kim Bergerac.
New cast members include Adrian Edmondson (Rain Dogs, A Spy Among Friends) as Nigel, a charming new presence in Charlie’s life, and Lesley Sharp (Red Eye, Before We Die) as Monica, mother to Michael played by Turlough Convery (Sanditon, Killing Eve) and Nicola played by Camilla Beeput (The Tower, Hijack).
Bergerac is back, and, with Kim’s encouragement, has begun dating again, though he still feels Rachel’s absence and isn’t expecting much. That changes when he meets Nicola, a visitor to the island, and they instantly connect. Meanwhile, Charlie Hungerford has found romance with the lively Nigel.
But just as things look promising, Bergerac is drawn into a new case: the groom at a wedding reception is found murdered in his hotel room. Someone at the wedding is a killer, and uncovering the truth leads Bergerac into a web of police corruption, buried family secrets, and major twists.
In the first episode, Bergerac returns for the most challenging case of his career when shocking events unfold at a wedding reception on the Island.
Bergerac returns Thursday 16th April at 9pm on U&Drama.
