The BAFTA Film Awards 2023 | Preview (BBC One)

Award-winning actor, presenter and author Richard E. Grant will host the ceremony, with presenter Alison Hammond hosting a new BAFTA Studio to give viewers at home an Access-All-Areas experience of one of the biggest nights in film as it unfolds in the Royal Festival Hal

Film critic Ali Plumb and presenter Vick Hope will take over BAFTA’s legendary red carpet. The EE BAFTAs will be broadcast on BBC One, BBC iPlayer and syndicated globally from the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall in the heart of London on 19 February.

Alison Hammond, said: “I'm so excited to be hosting at this year's EE BAFTA Film Awards with THE Richard E. Grant. For the first time, the ceremony will culminate in a live broadcast to reveal the final four category winners, enabling audiences at home to experience the nominee and winners’ reactions in real-time. Details of the broadcast format previously announced can be found here.

Also announced as completing this year’s EE BAFTA Film Awards presenting team are broadcasters Vick Hope and Ali Plumb as the co-hosts of BAFTA’s red carpet show which will be streamed live across BAFTA’s social channels @BAFTA, featuring interviews with nominees and other special guests giving audiences an front row seat to the red carpet arrivals.

Ali Plumb, said: “I cannot wait for this year’s EE BAFTA Film Awards and to celebrate an outstanding year of films and am thrilled to be hosting the red carpet show alongside my friend Vick Hope where we will interview the many brilliant nominees.”
