Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond The Lobby | Series 4 Preview (BBC Two)

Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby returns for a new series, with experienced high-end chef Monica Galetti and newspaper columnist and restaurant critic Giles Coren going behind the scenes at some of the world’s most amazing hotels.

In the first episode Monica and Giles don their thermals when they visit the ION Adventure Hotel in Iceland.

They soon discover the hotel is not for the faint hearted, as they get involved in a whole range of adventure activities - from snorkelling in icy water to exploring fresh lava flows and glaciers.

Monica visits the hotel’s unlikely neighbour, a geothermal power plant while Giles goes fishing with a local family for the restaurant kitchen.

For a heated challenge, Giles and Monica get to work with safety crews to ensure the guests are safe on an erupting volcano.

Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond The Lobby returns Tuesday 30th November at 8pm on BBC Two.
