Beat The Chasers
Sunday, ITV1
Individuals take on all six Chasers in the hope of winning a huge cash prize. To build a cash pot, the contestants have to answer multiple choice questions - get the first one wrong, and they are out, but answer one or more correctly and they get to face the Chasers, who offer time and money in order to take them on.
Educating Yorkshire
Sunday, Channel 4
Building on the legacy of Educating Yorkshire, but in a wholly new reinvention of the brand, Thornhill is opening its doors to cameras once more to tell the stories of modern Britain through the eyes of one brilliant school. And there are a lot of new stories to tell. Things have changed in the past decade, for the school and for the country.
Mr Burton has stepped up and he’s now in charge of Thornhill, in his first role as Head Teacher. But, his wit and sparkle remain just the same. Supported by a new team of heroic staff, he has a lot on his plate. The school is on the up but, like all schools in Britain, there are challenges at every turn.
I Fought The Law
Sunday, ITV1
Starring Sheridan Smith, the drama follows the tragic, moving, and deeply inspiring journey of the Ming family after the murder of their beloved 22-year-old daughter, Julie. In the wake of multiple police failings, Ann relentlessly pressures the authorities to uncover the truth and ensure the man responsible is brought to justice - despite initially seeming he will get away with murder.
Driven by love, grief, and extraordinary determination, Ann and her family campaign tirelessly in Julie’s name. In her steadfast and indomitable style, Ann takes on the entire justice system - challenging the Crown Prosecution Service, the Law Commission, prominent defence barristers in television debates, the Government, the Lord Chancellor, the Attorney General, and two Home Secretaries - as she bravely ‘fought the law.’
