THE HUNT
Sunday-Tuesday, Channel 4
Ten players will enter an extraordinary contest of stamina and strategy, all competing to win up to £100,000. In a vast, remote forest, the players are pitted against each other as Prey versus Predator. They must battle to survive action-packed hunts, in which the prey must hunt for cash, while the predators hunt the prey, until just one could be left standing to claim the entire cash prize.
INSIDE
Monday, Netflix
Inside sees a group of content creators, reality stars and online personalities confined to a house for a week to compete in a series of challenges for a $1,000,000 prize pot.
THE DOG HOUSE
Tuesday, Channel 4
Wood Green, The Animals Charity in Cambridgeshire takes in hundreds of discarded, disowned or neglected dogs every year. The series will follow the 60 strong team who work to counter the worst of our throw-away society, and witness stories of canine rescue and restoral. Their ultimate goal is to find each dog a forever home and a new human to love - but finding the right person for each dog takes experience, insight into human behaviour and a bit of luck.
THE DOWNFALL OF HUW EDWARDS
Tuesday, 5
Starring Martin Clunes (Doc Martin, Wuthering Heights, Manhunt) as Edwards, the drama explores the newsreader’s double life as it spirals out of control, leading to his total exit from public life following his conviction for making indecent images of children.
The drama paints an unflinching portrait of what it is like for the vulnerable to be groomed by powerful figures, revealing how Edwards seized on and exerted control over the young man (played by Osian Morgan), leaving lasting consequences.
BEYOND PARADISE
Friday, BBC One
Fact and folklore blur as they investigate the death of a novelist who predicted their demise, a magical night of Dark Morris that soon turns sour, a stolen treasure map that suddenly reappears, and the alleged sighting of a vengeful mermaid lurking out at sea. DI Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall) and Martha (Sally Bretton) launch into married life as they search for a new home, whilst Humphrey wrestles with an impossible decision that may change the lives of everyone at the station forever.
Returning to the idyllic coastal town alongside Kris Marshall and Sally Bretton are Zahra Ahmadi (DS Esther Williams), Dylan Llewellyn (PC Kelby Hartford), Barbara Flynn (Anne Lloyd) and Felicity Montagu (Margo Martins), Jamie Bamber (Archie Hughes), Melina Sinadinou (Zoe Williams), Eva Feiler (Lucy Thompson) and Phil Daniels (Marvelous Harris).
BIG NIGHT OF MUSICALS
Saturday, BBC One
Jason Manford hosts a joyful celebration of musical theatre, with show-stopping performances and special guests from across the West End and the UK’s leading touring productions. In a world first, Sam Ryder delivers an incredible performance of Gethsemane (I Only Want to Say) from Jesus Christ Superstar ahead of his debut in the show this summer.
GRACE
Sunday, ITV1
John Simm, who will reprise his role as Detective Superintendent Roy Grace, was reunited with his co-stars Richie Campbell, who plays DI Glenn Branson, and Zoë Tapper who plays Cleo Morey. Four brand new standalone films based on the characters of the best-selling novels written by globally renowned author Peter James, will include the titles: Left You Dead, Capture You Dead, Dead Man’s Game, and One Of Us Is Dead.
Also set to return are Laura Elphinstone who plays DS Bella Moy, Brad Morrison as DC Nick Nicholl and Juliette Motamed as DC Vee Wilde. Guest stars will include Rishi Nair, Ali Khan, Sara Powell, Chizzy Akudolu, Dylan Corbett-Bader, Peter De Jersey and Amir Wilson.
