PASSWORD: ALAN CARR AND DAISY MAY COOPER TO FRONT ITV GAMESHOW

ITV have commissioned a full series of Password, a new primetime gameshow set to film this June and air early next year, based on the hit US version, TV Zone understands.

The commission follows a successful pilot recorded earlier this year with hosts Alan Carr and Daisy May Cooper, who will both return for the full series alongside a 'special guest'. The series films seven episodes towards the end of June, with audience tickets available via Lost In TV.

Password is a gameshow which sees two teams, made up of one 'civilian' contestant and a celebrity compete to win cash prizes by attempting to convey 'mystery words' to each other.

The format was recently revived by NBC last year with Jimmy Fallon as host alongside Keke Palmer. Thousands of episodes have aired across 3 networks in the US, including CBS, ABC and most recently NBC.

A teaser for the pilot shared: "Join Alan Carr, Daisy May Cooper and a special celebrity guest for a non-transmission pilot recording of Password, an ITV gameshow all about word association. Expect lots of laughs as our plucky contestants attempt to get on the same wavelength as their celebrity teammates to win big money."

The pilot was recorded on 28th March at Television Centre in London. More details will be revealed in due course.
