PADDY McGUINNESS TO FRONT NEW BBC TRAVEL SERIES

Paddy McGuiness is set to front a new BBC One travel series around Europe, according to reports from The Sun newspaper.

A source told The Sun: "He’s had mixed fortunes recently with several of his shows getting the chop, but it looks like Paddy’s luck is changing. This travelogue is a bit of a departure for Paddy and the programme might see him team up with a buddy for the trip. Either way it’s the latest in several bits of good news for his career.”"

Elsewhere, McGuiness was last year announced as the new host of BBC Two's Inside The Factory. Paddy will join follow presenters Cherry Healey and historian Ruth Goodman for the ninth series.

The series goes behind the scenes to discover the secrets of the incredible machines that produce our everyday favourites, spotlighting the skill and hard work of the factory workers. The series also explores the science and innovation behind the products,  and the hidden stories behind their invention.

Paddy McGuiness is also piloting a 'mockumentary' for the BBC, simply titled Paddy, based on his life and divorce. The news was revealed via British Comedy Guide.

The pilot took place last year, produced by the team behind Dave's Meet The Richardsons, King Of Sunshine Productions. In the non-TX pilot, Paddy mentors comedian Josh Pugh with his stand-up.

More details about the travel series will be announced in due course.
