Gregor Fisher and Greg McHugh have started filming the second series of their funny and touching sitcom, Only Child in Scotland this week alongside a wealth of Scottish and Irish talent.

Produced by Happy Tramp North for BBC Comedy, BBC Scotland and BBC iPlayer, the six-part series, which was nominated for an RTS Scotland best comedy award, will be shooting in Glasgow and locations in Paisley, Helensburgh and Dunlop.
Gregor Fisher (Rab C Nesbitt, Love Actually) and Greg McHugh (The A Word, Fresh Meat, Gary Tank Commander, Guilt) return as squabbling father and son duo, Ken and Richard Pritchard.
Also returning in series two are: Amy Lennox (Holby City, Blade Runner 2099) playing Emily; Clare Barrett (Sisters, Fréwaka) who returns as Jen; Robin Laing (The Gold and Outlander) as Ian and Paul Rattray (Jamestown, Game of Thrones) as Digsy.
Written by Bryce Hart (Still Up, Beep, Ten Percent), the second series will see the chaotic Pritchard clan return for more adventures as Richard and Ken bicker through everything from driving lessons and explaining what a QR code is to buying your own coffin.
A number of new cast are also welcomed including: Clive Russell (Department Q and Game of Thrones); Jenny Galloway (Fleabag and Ballet Shoes); Kevin Bishop (Strike, The Kevin Bishop Show); and Tam Dean Burn (Shadow & Bone, Trust Me 2). Their characters and storylines will be revealed in due course.
Happy Tramp North Executive Producer, Neil Webster, says: “We’re all so excited to be back shooting a new series. Greg and Gregor are back as the first family of Forres, surrounded by all the cast and crew that made series one such a joy.
“We’re also thrilled to be welcoming new cast Jenny, Clive, Kevin and Tam Dean to the Moray coast. To have this calibre of cast is a real testament to the quality of Bryce’s scripts.”
Louise Thornton, Head of Commissioning for BBC Scotland says: “Only Child was a real hit with audiences who took Ken and Richard to their hearts. Bryce has written another script full of warmth and humour which will have the audience laughing and shedding the odd tear. We’re looking forward to seeing how life has been treating Ken and Richard as they navigate the ups and downs of modern day life together.”
Only Child (6 x 30) is a Happy Tramp North Production for BBC One, BBC Scotland and iPlayer.
