ONE NIGHT IN... SHELVED BY CHANNEL 4 AFTER ONE SERIES

TV Zone understands there are on immediate plans for another run of One Night In... on Channel 4, though the broadcaster has not ruled out returning to the format in the future for one-off specials.

The programme launched with a one-off Christmas special in 2020 with comedians Ron Beckett, Romesh Ranganathan and Tom Allen. The special saw the trio spend a night in iconic toyshop Hamleys.

Following its breakout success, attracting 2.7m (12.3%) and becoming the channel’s highest rating new title of 2020, Channel 4 commissioned a full series, this time fronted by The Last Leg presenters Alex Brooker and Josh Widdecombe.

The series saw Alex and Josh joined by guests in each show as they spend the night at some of the UK’s most exciting attractions with no other visitors around. Together with their guest, they spent the night in the likes of a theme park, a museum, a zoo, a historic landmark and a department store.

One Night In... is available to stream now on Channel 4.
