NETFLIX UNVEILS SCRIPTED SLATE OF NEW AND RETURNING PROGRAMMING FOR 2025
A look ahead to some of the new and returning titles coming to Netflix later this year.

Adolescence
Award-winning trio, Stephen Graham (Boiling Point, Bodies, The Irishman), Philip Barantini (Boiling Point) and Jack Thorne (The Swimmers, Joy, Help) unite for a four-part limited series Adolescence. An ambitious crime drama told in a real-time, one-shot style, directed by Philip Barantini. Casting is led by Stephen Graham, Ashley Walters and Erin Doherty.
Agatha Christie's The Seven Dials Mystery
Netflix have commissioned Orchid Pictures to produce a limited series adaptation of Agatha Christie's The Seven Dials Mystery. The series will be written by former Broadchurch and Doctor Who showrunner Chris Chibnall.
Black Mirror
Charlie Brooker's dark, satirical anthology series will return in 2025 with six brand new episodes, including a sequel to the sci-fi adventure USS Callister. USS Callister will return… Robert Daly is dead, but for the crew of the USS Callister, their problems are just beginning.
Department Q
Department Q is an adaptation of the novels of the same name from Danish author, Jussi Adler-Olsen. Written by Scott Frank, Chandni Lakhani, Stephen Greenhorn and Colette Kane, the series revolves around Carl Morck, a former top-rated detective in Edinburgh assigned to a new cold case whilst wracked with guilt following an attack that left his partner paralysed and another policeman dead.
How To Get To Heaven From Belfast
Written and created by Lisa McGee, the eight-part comedy series will air onNetflix. The series will follow Saoirse (Roísín Gallagher), Robyn (Sinéad Keenan) and Dara (Caoilfhionn Dunne) who have been friends since school. Now in their late thirties they lead very different lives.
Saoirse a successful writer with a compulsion to hit the self-destruct button, Robyn, a sweary, stressed out mother of three young boys, and Dara, a full-time carer of an elderly parent, who hasn't managed to move out of her teenage bedroom.
Man Vs Baby
Following the release of Man Vs Bee in 2022, Netflix have announced Rowan Atkinson is reprising his role for brand new series Man Vs Baby. After a disastrous experience housesitting a high-tech mansion hampered by an inconvenient insect in Man Vs Bee, Trevor Bingley now finds himself looking after a luxurious London penthouse, with another unlikely companion he didn't ask for..."
The Thursday Murder Club

This group of unlikely sleuths has uncovered a murder case, and they’re willing to risk their lives to solve it. They’re The Thursday Murder Club, and they’re coming to Netflix in a new movie. Based on the bestselling novel by Richard Osman, this is a whodunit with teeth — false ones, of course."
The Witcher (S4)
After the shocking, Continent-altering events that close out Season 3, the new season follows Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri, who are separated and traversing the war-ravaged Continent and its many demons. If they can embrace and lead the groups of misfits they find themselves in, they have a chance of surviving the baptism of fire — and finding one another again.
Toxic Town
Netflix have commissioned new drama Toxic Town, steeling the story of a town's fight for justice after 19 children were born with deformities following a 'botched steelworks clean up'. The series is written by Jack Thorne and will star Jodie Whittaker, Brendan Coyle, Aimee Lou Wood, Rory Kinnear and Robert Carlyle.
The series is based on one of the UK's biggest environmental scandals which saw families of those affected take Corby Council to the high court in an attempt to force them to take responsibility.
Wednesday S2
WEDNESDAY is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams' years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair), Joy Sunday (Bianca Barclay), Moosa Mostafa (Eugene), Georgie Farmer (Ajax), and Victor Dorobantu (Thing) will return alongside Jenna Ortega.
Squid Game S3
Details on the third series will be announced in due course/ In the second series, three years after winning Squid Game, Player 456 gave up going to the states and comes back with a new resolution in his mind. Gi-hun once again dives into the mysterious survival game, starting another life-or-death game with new participants gathered to win the prize of 45.6 billion won.
