British Comedy Guide has exclusively revealed that the sketch show, with the working title The Late Night Munyaverse, is "spun out of spoofing a US-style, satirical late night talkshow"
The comedian recently fronted a Channel 4 documentary, How to Survive a Dictator, about Zimbabwe’s notorious dictator, Robert Mugabe. Using interviews, archive, and comedy sketches to help viewers understand the story, Munya tries to unpick the man behind the monster – exploring an extraordinary life that saw Mugabe win independence for his people and then ruling them with increasing brutality through four decades.
Munya was also a presenter on Channel 4 series Complaints Welcome in 2021.
More details will be revealed in due course.
