MRS BROWN'S BOYS TO RETURN FOR TWO CHRISTMAS SPECIALS AND MINI SERIES IN 2023

The BBC have seemingly commissioned two more Christmas specials of Mrs Brown's Boys for 2022, plus a four-part mini-series to air in 2023 - the first full series since 2013.

Mrs Brown's Boys is a BBC One comedy starring Brendan O'Carroll as loud-mouthed Irish matriarch Agnes Brown, whose favourite pastime is meddling in the lives of her six children.

The first three series aired up to 2013. Since then, the show has aired festive specials every year instead of full series. All previous episodes are available to view on BBC iPlayer.

One of the show's stars Fiona O'Carroll told RTE Guide: "In October we'll be filming Mrs Brown: two Christmas specials and the first of a mini-series of four episodes, the other three early next year...

"We've the live show in November at the SSE Arena in Belfast and 3Arena in Dublin. And we're planning more theatre dates for next year."

A source told The Sun: "Everyone is very excited. It’s lovely to be working on another series. The cast can’t wait to see Brendan’s scripts."

The BBC declined to comment when approached by TV Zone.
