TLC have ordered a second series of Mock The Week, as well as Christmas and end of year specials, following a successful relaunch of the once-BBC comedy entertainment format.

Once again overseeing the mayhem will be Dara Ó Briain. The witty, fast-paced, satirical panel show that turns the week’s news into comedy gold is back bigger than ever, with hour-long episodes packed full of fearless jokes, quick-fire challenges and the chaotic energy fans know and love.
Expect razor-sharp, inspired silliness and plenty of laugh-out-loud moments as some of the nation’s funniest comedians battle it out to get the biggest laughs.
The new series stays true to the classic Mock the Week format, featuring iconic rounds such as If This Is the Answer, What Is the Question?, Wheel of News, Picture of the Week and the legendary Scenes We’d Like to See. But fans can also look forward to brand-new rounds, created especially for the expanded 60-minute format, giving even more room for bold jokes and unexpected twists.
Dan Patterson, Executive Producer at Angst Productions, said: “It’s been a thrill to see the return of Mock the Week and we’ve been delighted by the reaction of fans to the series in our new-look home of TLC. The one-hour format is giving us the additional time and freedom to dig into a news agenda that continues to deliver and introduce new rounds which have been a real success...
"With Dara and Rhys at the helm, and the usual array of top comedic talent set to join the show, we look forward to bringing more episodes to TLC later this year.” Dara Ó Briain, added “What? Another series? I thought we’d solved all the world’s problems in this series. Oh, all right. Bring me more news!”
Joining Dara in the studio throughout the current series, is a stellar line-up of top comedy talent, including Rhys James, Sara Pascoe, Angela Barnes, Ed Byrne, Ahir Shah, Milton Jones, Katherine Ryan, Hugh Dennis, Sarah Keyworth, Lou Sanders, Glenn Moore, Ellie Taylor and Russell Howard.
Mock the Week continues Sundays at 9pm on TLC.
