LOVE ISLAND 'SET TO RETURN FOR WINTER SERIES IN 2023'

ITV are reportedly preparing another Winter series of Love Island to air in 2023, according to reports from The Sun.

Winter Love Island originally aired in January 2020, and was the first series to be presented by Laura Whitmore. The series shot in a different location to its Summer series, with a villa in South Africa.

A source told The Sun: "Love Island bosses enjoyed the only and only series of Winter Love Island, but it was just before the pandemic raged so was shelved for 2021. When they started casting for this summer's series they thought there's definitely enough talent to do a second series again so have started the plans for a 2023 Winter Love Island...

"The series generally is really important for them as it attracts the all-important younger viewers, so if they can get a second series in one year then everyone will be delighted."

Meanwhile, promotion for this year's Love Island will begin this weekend (Saturday 7th May) during Britain's Got Talent on ITV. The Sun reports the new series begins Monday 6th June on ITV2.
