LANGUAGE OF LOVE 'AXED' BY CHANNEL 4 AFTER ONE SERIES

Language Of Love has been axed by Channel 4 after one series, according to reports from The Sun.

The series, which first aired earlier this year, saw a group of Brits and a group of Spaniards pairing up at a dreamy Spanish country estate to see if they can find romance… despite not speaking each other’s language.

Hosted by Davina McCall and Spanish TV host Ricky Merino, the Brits seeking romance travelled to Spain where they met their potential partners – a group of Spanish speakers also looking for their own historia de amor – to test whether love is deeper than just words.

The newly-formed couples then took part in challenges and tasks to help them test their connection as well as learning more about each other’s countries, their culture and their languages.

At the end of the eight-part series the international lovers will faced a big dilemma: to call it quits, stay together long distance, or perhaps move country to be with their new found love.

The series failed to break through in the ratings, with Channel 4 opting to air the final two episodes back-to-back at 10pm and 11pm respectively.

Language Of Love is available to stream on All4.
