The BBC is set to launch a brand-new 12-part series inspired by the work of Michael Mosley, whose Just One Thing podcast and TV series transformed how audiences think about health and wellbeing.

The new Just One Thing series for BBC Daytime will be presented by Zoe Ball, Roman Kemp and Clive Myrie, who will each bring their own unique perspective to the show’s simple but powerful message: small changes can lead to big benefits.

Presenter Zoe Ball, journalist Clive Myrie and broadcaster Roman Kemp will front four episodes each, exploring topics they’re passionate about or are keen to discover more on. Travelling to a different part of the UK in every episode, they’ll meet individuals who stand to benefit from making simple science-backed changes in their lives that could improve their health and wellbeing.

Produced by BBC Studios Science Unit, each episode will spotlight one practical, evidence-based tip — from laughing to boost your brain, a dose of beetroot to improve your running time, gardening to help your gut and even the surprising benefits of eating chocolate. The presenters will meet with local communities, uncover regional stories, and encourage viewers to try something new that could make a meaningful difference to their lives.

Zoe Ball says, “Michael inspired so many of us with his curiosity and passion for helping people live healthier, happier lives. It’s a privilege to be a part of this and I can’t wait to meet people around the country and share some surprising tips that could really make life better.”

Clive Myrie comments, “Michael masterfully made medical science accessible and fun, and his work helped millions lead healthier lives. It’s a privilege to work on this series.”

Roman Kemp says, “Michael had a real gift for making science simple and accessible, and it’s a privilege to be a part of something that continues what he started. Just One Thing shows that even small tweaks can actually make a big difference - and I hope viewers come away with simple, useful tips they can try out for themselves.”

Lindsay Bradbury, Commissioning Editor for BBC Daytime comments “This new series of Just One Thing builds on the legacy of the brilliance of Michael. It will offer sometimes very surprising take away tips on how we can all try and improve our lives with minimum input for maximum rewards.”

Paul Overton, Executive Producer for BBC Studios Science Unit says “Michael Mosley’s work inspired millions to take small, science-backed steps toward better health. With the new series of Just One Thing, we’re continuing that mission — sharing practical, evidence-based ideas that can genuinely improve people’s lives.”

Just One Thing will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
