BBC WITHDRAW FROM JUNIOR EUROVISION
The BBC will not take part in the 2024 Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
This year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Madrid, Spain, who finished second place in the 2023 contest. The winner, France, declined the hosting after hosting the 2023 contest.
A BBC spokesperson told journalist Adrian Bradley: "We sometimes have to make difficult decisions and the BBC will not participate in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this year. We would like to thank the artists and creative teams who represented the UK for the last two years."
In 2022, the Junior Eurovision Song Contest was broadcast on the BBC for the first time in the competition’s history. Freya Skye represented the United Kingdom with the song Lose My Head at the contest in Yerevan, Armenia, winning the public vote, and coming 5th overall.
Junior Eurovision is available on BBC iPlayer.
