JOHN BISHOP SHOW SET TO RETURN FOR SECOND SERIES IN 2023

The comedy superstar and actor is set to return for a second series of his ITV chat show, TV Zone understands.



The series, which first aired in January this year, proved a hit with viewers, with ITV now in talks for a second run. Every week John will be doing his trademark everyman stand-up and shooting the breeze with some very special celebrity guests.



Star interviewees will include the hottest names in film, TV, sport, music and more in front of a live studio audience. John will also be checking the global comedy pulse with a team of stand-ups from all over the world.


An award-winning comic, with multiple sell-out tours, John’s a favourite fixture on screens with credits including factual series John Bishop’s Great Whale Rescue and John Bishop’s Ireland, as well as a starring role in the most recent series of Doctor Who.




Speaking about the first series, John Bishop said: "We’ve been discussing making a Saturday night show for ITV for a while and I am so glad that we are finally going to be doing it. We want it to be up to date and topical, whilst also fitting the energy and fun that Saturday nights on ITV is known for.”



Earlier this month, it was announced by ITV that John Bishop his son Joe will share the realities of hearing loss in a personal and insightful new documentary for ITV and ITV Hub, Joe & John Bishop: Life After Deaf.


The one-hour film will document John and Joe, who lost most of his hearing at the age of 15, as they embark upon a journey to understand more about the Deaf community and learn British Sign Language together
