ITV COMMISSION RAFT OF NEW COMEDIES AHEAD OF ITVX LAUNCH

Reported by Broadcast, ITV have commissioned five new half-hour comedies to premiere on ITVX and ITV2 later this year. The five titles were all commissioned by ITV's head of scripted comedy, Nana Hughes. More details will be revealed in due course.



Deep Fake Neighbour Wars

Created by Spencer Jones and produced by Tiger Aspect - parody of New Zealand TV format Neighbours At War using deep-fake technology to turn celebrities into unruly residents.



Count Abdullah

Written by Kaamil Shah and made by Fudge Park - follows a British Pakistani Muslim junior doctor based in London who is bitten by a halal-hunting vampire. .


The Family Pile

Written by Brian Dooley and produced by Hat Trick - a comedic exploration of grief, about two sisters who have lost their parents and are packing up the family home, ready to sell it, and the visitors who call by.



Ruby Speaking

Comedy about a call centre worker - written by Abigail Wilson and produced by Yellow Door Productions.


Significant Other

Written by Dana Fainaru & Hamish Wright and produced by Quay Street - based on an Israeli comedy of the same name, following lonely neighbours who embark on a hesitant relationship with each other.
