GINO'S COOKING UP LOVE 'AXED' BY ITV, WON'T BE GOING TO SERIES

Gino's Cooking Up Love will not be returning to ITV for a full series, The Sun reports.

Cooking Up Love was an ITV dating format hosted by Gino D'Acampo with a culinary twist, as he opens his cooking school to six singles looking for love, whilst also learning how to cook authentic, Italian cuisine in Italy.

Will they find a connection through a shared passion for food, and how will the arrival of three new students stir things up? The format aired two 'pilot' episodes in December.

A source told The Sun at the time: "For the last year British couples have been cooped up at home, which has led to a surge in hapless home cooking and domestic boredom. As a red-blooded Italian, Gino knows the sensual joys that only food can bring...

They continued: "As far as he is concerned, if a couple can click in the kitchen, then it’s a recipe for clicking in other rooms too. Gino is becoming a hot property in TV because he has a huge following, is great fun and has a genuine skill."
