ITV 2026 DRAMA HIGHLIGHTS, NEW AND RETURNING TITLES REVEALED

ITV have revealed some of its new and returning drama series airing in 2026.

Believe Me
New Drama
Believe Me tells the story of three victims of one of the most prolific sex attackers in British history, John Worboys, dubbed by the media as the ‘black cab rapist’ after preying on women under the cover of being a ‘respectable’ licensed taxi-cab driver.
Aimée-Ffion Edwards (Slow Horses, Peaky Blinders, Dreamland, Mr Burton) Miriam Petche (Industry) and Aasiya Shah (Raised by Wolves, Bloods, The Beast Must Die) play the women Worboys sexually assaulted. Daniel Mays takes the role of John Worboys (Des, A Thousand Blows, The Long Shadow, Moonflower Murders).
Red Eye
Series 2
This epic series - comprising of six brand new episodes - will also see the return of Lesley Sharp as the Head of MI5 Madeline Delaney and Jemma Moore as journalist Jess Li. Also returning are Jonathan Aris (His Dark Materials, The End of the F***ing World), Robert Guilbert (Killing Eve, Bergerac), Cash Holland (The Completely Made Up Adventures of Duck Turpin, Out of Her Mind) and Steph Lacey (Doctor Who, Stay Close).
With new cast members joining including Isaura Barbe-Brown (Guilt, The Gold), Nicholas Rowe (The Crown, A Spy Among Friends), Danusia Samal (The Great, Ghost in the Shell), Trevor White (Industry, I Hate Susie) and Guy Williams (The White Princess, London Has Fallen).
After The Flood
Series 2
The second series finds newly promoted detective Jo Marshall (Sophie Rundle) on the trail of a baffling new murder investigation. As tensions simmer in Waterside amid the rising threat of moorland fires and the subsequent risk of further flooding, a body is discovered in bizarre circumstances.
Jo's race to stop the killer brings her into direct conflict with dark and influential forces within the town, ultimately drawing her into an investigation that becomes deeply personal. One that will require her to operate in secret if she is to have any hope of rooting out the corruption that has blighted the town's police force - and her own family - for decades.
The Lady
New Drama
The compelling story of the Duchess of York’s former aide and convicted murderer, Jane Andrews, has been commissioned as a four-part drama, entitled The Lady. Based upon true events surrounding Andrews’ story, the partly fictionalised drama will be produced by multi award-winning independent production company, Left Bank Pictures, a Sony Pictures Television Company, producers of the acclaimed series The Crown.
The Dark
New Drama
When the body of a young man is found eerily staged in the idyllic Scottish wilderness, detective Monica Kennedy fears this is just the beginning of a terrifying campaign that will strike the heart of a rural community. As paranoia rises, suspicions and secrets are forced into the light, and the locals start to realise that there is a serial killer hidden amongst them.
With her experience of dealing with the darkest of humanity Monica Kennedy quickly becomes entangled in a heightened game of cat and mouse with a cunning killer. Only she can stop this monster before he claims any more victims. But when her own history creeps up on her, she begins to lose trust in her own judgement. Will it be her own actions that are the biggest risk to herself and her family.
Secret Service
New Drama
Filmed in Malta and London this spring, Secret Service is adapted from the topical novel by ITV News anchor Tom Bradby and produced by Potboiler Productions.
Suspenseful, timely, and cinematic, Secret Service follows senior MI6 officer Kate Henderson (Gemma Arterton) as a covert investigation uncovers evidence that a high-ranking UK politician may be working as a Russian asset. With trust shattered and her career on the line, Kate must navigate the shifting sands of political loyalty, international threat, and personal sacrifice.
Trigger Point
Series 4
ITV has recommissioned a fourth series of Trigger Point, starring Vicky McClure and produced by Jed Mercurio’s HTM Television. Trigger Point follows a team of bomb disposal officers, known as EXPOs, as they dedicate themselves to keeping the capital safe from explosive devices and terrorist threats.
Midsomer Murders
Series 24
The death of an ancient estate's patriarch leads to rivalry and murder when his rebellious son plans to sell it off, outraging his siblings.
McKenzie
New Drama
Detective drama starring David Morrissey. Further details to be announced.
Grace
Series 6
John Simm will reprise his role as Detective Superintendent Roy Grace for four standalone films (4 x 120 minutes) set in the familiar surroundings of Brighton. Filming begins during the summer of 2025.
Starring alongside John will be Richie Campbell (Top Boy, Stephen) who plays DS Glenn Branson, Zoë Tapper (Liar) as Cleo Morey, Laura Elphinstone (Chernobyl) as DS Bella Moy, and Brad Morrison (Outlander) as DC Nick Nicholl. The series is based on the best-selling novels written by globally renowned author Peter James.
Van Der Valk
Series 4
Van der Valk and his team return to investigate new crimes in Amsterdam. In addition to solving murder cases, Van der Valk has to deal with a past romance resurfacing as well as find a way to make one of his beloved team members confront their own mortality.
Professor T
Series 4
After Season 3’s shocking finale, Dan and Jasper are consumed by grief. Dan throws himself into work while the Professor hides in his lectures, avoiding the police at all costs. But Helena, Jasper’s therapist, helps him face back up to his police work and the team tackles complex and dangerous cases. But through the danger and mystery, love is very much in the air.
Grantchester
Series 10
Alphy’s really found a home in Grantchester. In Geordie too, he’s found a best friend and his intellectual equal. Love proves more elusive, until a case throws him in the path of a romance. But before he can let anyone else in, he must confront truths about himself. Geordie, meanwhile, wrestles with his expectations for his own son and Cathy takes steps to better her career with the help of Mrs. Chapman.
