ITV DRAMA BANCROFT AXED AFTER TWO SERIES

ITV's detective drama will not be returning for a third series after its second aired earlier this year.

Writer of the series, Kate Brooke, has previously said there had been talks for third series.

However, an ITV spokesperson confirmed: “We felt the series had reached its natural conclusion with Elizabeth Bancroft going to jail. She’d reached the peak of her evilness. We really appreciated the series achieved a loyal audience and was produced, written and performed brilliantly.”
