AMANDA & ALAN'S ITALIAN JOB TO RETURN FOR SECOND SERIES
The Italian Job follows Amanda Holden and Alan Carr as they join the ranks of the ‘One Euro’ home buyers, purchasing their own slice of heaven at a bargain price in a little town nestled in the sun-kissed hills of rural Sicily.
Armed with a shared passion for travel and interior design they spent the summer immersing themselves in the Sicilian way of life, as they transform their depilated house into a luxury holiday home, before auctioning for charity.
Following ratings success - the series continues Friday nights at 8:30pm on BBC One - the BBC have reportedly already commissioned a second series. The new series will see the duo renovate another property abroad and sell for charity.
A source told The Sun: "t’s so hard for new TV shows to make an impact, but the ratings have been incredible and Amanda and Alan’s chemistry is undeniable. To think the pair of them had the idea themselves during lockdown and are now planning series two is a dream come true for them both."
Alan and Amanda have renovated their own properties in the past, but neither of them has tackled a project of this scale before. Whilst they’ll try their hand at everything - from plumbing to painting and plastering - they’ll be drafting in local tradespeople to show them the ropes and help keep the project on track.
Amanda & Alan's Italian Job is available now on BBC iPlayer.
