I'M A CELEBRITY "STRUGGLING TO BOOK STARS" AFTER MOVE TO THE UK
Reports: Bosses finding it difficult to sign stars to spend a month in the Welsh countryside.
ITV bosses are reportedly struggling to sign celebrities for the upcoming series of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!, following the news that the show is moving to the UK for its next series.
At the time of the announcement, ITV controller Kevin Lygo said: “We announced last week that we were doing all we could to make the series and I’m thrilled that we can bring the show to viewers albeit not in the jungle. We have a great team both on and off screen and I know they will produce a hugely entertaining series."
One TV agent told The Mirror: “Moving the show is a huge mistake – and they’ll need to put up more pounds to secure decent names in the future. The show doesn’t have the same appeal; they’d be better off scrapping it this year and returning once they’re able to film again in Australia.”
The Mirror also suggest that bosses have been looking at luxury hotels to entice the celebs into signing up. They include Bodysgallen Hall and Tre-Ysgawen Hall.
I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! returns this November on ITV.
