HOTEL BOSS: NEW FORMAT TO SEARCH FOR BEST HOTEL MANAGERS

A new TV series is set to search for the country's best wannabe hotel manager.

The format is currently in development from South Shore Productions, who are also behind ITV's Cooking With The Stars. A pilot is expected to be recorded in the coming weeks. No broadcaster is thought to be linked to the project as yet.

A source told The Sun: "The new programme will put wannabe winners through their paces with a series of challenges, to see if they can deliver five-star service to some tricky customers...

"Some will appear triumphant while others are likely, if not expected, to fail miserably. Either way, it promises to be great entertainment. And it can’t fail to conjure up hilarious memories of Basil, who will go down as one of the worst hotel bosses in history."
