Jonathan Ross is to host new social experiment series for Channel 4 from 72 Films, Handcuffed.

The series, which is currently casting, will bring together two opinionated people with strongly held opposing views from across the UK and all walks off life and handcuff them together, forcing them to live closely and share their perspectives.
The series bills itself as a unique opportunity to express beliefs, challenge misconceptions, and gain insights into someone else’s world - plus there's a chance for the participants to win a share of £100,000.
Casting is open looking for people with strong opinions on any cultural, political, or ideological topics - including concerns about the future of the society, veganism, feminism, climate activism, conservative or socialist views, religious beliefs, free speech, LGBTQ+ rights and immigration. A source told The Sun: "This is tapping into C4’s exploration of what it’s like to walk in someone else’s shoes, by forcing them to experience what they experience and all the things that might change someone’s views. It’s a similar concept to their recent TV experiment, Go Back To Where You Came From, where Brits with various points of view were challenged to take the perilous journey that many immigrants face to get into the country."
Earlier this year Channel 4 announced wo new reality series, The Hunt and The Inheritance.
The Hunt will see contestants dropped into the ultimate real-world game of hide and seek - where losing means walking away with nothing and winning could mean pocketing up to £100,000. Surviving the game isn’t about being the fastest. It’s about being the smartest.
Each episode is built around a tense, dog-eat-dog hunt, where each player becomes either a Predator or Prey. The Prey hold the cash, desperately trying to protect their winnings while completing challenges to win more money. The Predators must hunt them down and steal their cash. If they succeed their roles are reversed and the entire game flips, with Predators suddenly become Prey.
In The Inheritance, wwelve strangers arrive at a grand English country estate, lured by one irresistible opportunity: to inherit a chunk of a vast fortune. The fortune belonged to a glamorous benefactor known only as The Deceased who has left video messages for the players from beyond the grave.
To release money from The Inheritance, players must work as a team to complete a series of challenges. The better they perform; the more money is released. But The Deceased had a wicked sense of humour and one ruthless condition: to win the game they must persuade all others that only they should be entrusted with the money.
More details will be announced in due course.
