HAIRCUTS & HANGOVERS: CHANNEL 4 ANNOUNCES NEW DOCUMENTARY ON SOCIAL MEDIA SENSATION, IBIZA FINAL BOSS

The summer of 2025 saw its fair share of unexpected social media sensations, from a three-year old advert for a travel company being used to soundtrack millions of disastrous holiday videos, to a now infamous ‘kiss cam’ moment captured at a Coldplay concert being instantly shared across the globe.

But no viral phenomenon is perhaps quite as inexplicable as the 8-second TikTok clip which upended construction worker Jack Kay’s life in a matter of hours…

The video of Jack dancing while on holiday in Ibiza was viewed over 20 million times and saw him dubbed the ‘Ibiza Final Boss’ for his distinctive look.

Now, Channel 4 UNTOLD is going beyond the FYP and digging deeper into Jack’s story, exploring whether or not overnight viral fame is really all it’s cracked up to be.

In THE IBIZA FINAL BOSS – HAIRCUTS & HANGOVERS: UNTOLD, which is produced by Flicker Productions and available to stream now on Channel 4, we meet Jack as he visits his barber in Newcastle to maintain his iconic trim – now one of the most famous haircuts in the world.

We also meet Jack’s agent, Dave Reed – a top talent scout known for his work with the cast of The Only Way Is Essex – who says the media interest in Jack has superseded anything he’s experienced with other clients during his 20-year career.

The cameras follow Jack as he returns to Ibiza to reunite with the man who captured the original video that sent him viral, now selling his own line of Ibiza Final Boss merch. With the temptations of the party island being offered up to him – and a suddenly bigger budget to enjoy them with – Jack is warned that outlasting the algorithm means striking a delicate balance between partying and work opportunities. But will he take the advice?
