GONE FISHING: MORTIMER & WHITEHOUSE RETURN FOR TWO MORE SERIES ON BBC TWO
The popular series, produced by Owl Power, continues to delight audiences, and the further two series will see Bob Mortimer and Paul Whitehouse enjoy capers and countryside as they return to fish more rivers, lakes and canals across the UK.
The format will continue to centre on each episode catching a key species of fish, with Paul using his extensive knowledge of fishing to guide Bob, and with Bob hunting out unique places to stay and creating heart-healthy menus throughout their travels.
The show will return for a six-part series later this year, and then return for a bumper extended series of eight-episodes in 2024. This series will see the pair visit locations including Wales, Wilshire and the Scottish Borders.
BBC commissioning editor Max Gogarty said: "We are delighted Gone Fishing will be coming back later this year for a sixth series and then a bumper seventh in 2024. This show brings a huge amount of joy, catharsis and escapism to millions each week and we're thrilled the boys will be back (Ted in tow) later this year."
Executive Producer Lisa Clark said: "When we started the series five years ago I'm not sure we ever dreamed we'd still be travelling the UK's river banks, but the love for Bob and Paul and their fishing adventures is phenomenal. We're delighted to be continuing to deliver their magic to the screen along with Ted and the glorious views of the British countryside."
All series of Gone Fishing are available to view now on BBC iPlayer.
