Supermodel Leomie Anderson has today announced she is stepping down as the host of popular BBC Three and iPlayer competition series Glow Up in a special video to fans.

Leomie has been the longest serving host of the popular series for the past three years alongside judges, Val Garland and Dominic Skinner. She has revealed that stepping into her shoes is someone fans already know and love…Make-Up Artist, entrepreneur and YouTuber NikkieTutorials.

Leomie says: “After three incredible seasons on Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-up Star, I have decided that I will be leaving, and handing the make-up brushes over to someone new. My Glow Up journey has been amazing, I have gotten to watch some incredibly talented MUAs express themselves, push themselves and grow from shy creatives to full on professional make-up artists.

“My Glow Up journey wouldn’t have been the same without my fave’s Val and Dom and all the amazing guest judges that have come through. And also I wanted to say a massive thank you, to you, the audience, for tuning in, joining us in the comments and tagging us in all your amazing looks.”

NikkieTutorials has been a leading international content creator for more than 16 years, building a global audience through her creativity and distinctive voice. As a world renowned make-up artist, she has created looks for some of the biggest names in entertainment. Through her work, Nikkie has become one of the most influential and recognisable figures in the international beauty industry.

NikkieTutorials says, “I’m so incredibly honoured to take over from Leomie, and I promise I’ll take very good care of this baby. I’ve been lucky enough to pop into the Glow Up studio as a guest judge for quite a few seasons now… but this time I’m staying!

“Make-up has been my entire world for as long as I can remember, so getting to be part of the Glow Up family in this whole new way really is a dream come true.”

Carl Callam BBC Commissioning Editor comments, “Leomie has brought her vibrant personality and flair for fashion to Glow up over the past three series, and I would like to thank her for the magnificent job she has done. We will all miss her, and she will always be a part of the Glow Up family.

“I am really excited to welcome NikkieTutorials as our new host. Nikkie is no stranger to our audience. And with her global following and influence, her passion for both make-up and the creative industry means we know she will be amazing.”

Melissa Brown, Wall to Wall Executive Producer comments, “Leomie has been an incredible part of Glow Up, bringing warmth, style and encouragement to every MUA who has walked through the studio doors. We're hugely grateful for everything she has brought to the series and wish her every success in her next chapter. At the same time, we're delighted to welcome NikkieTutorials as our new host...

"Nikkie was our dream choice for the role. Her passion for make-up, deep connection with the beauty community and infectious enthusiasm make her a perfect fit for Glow Up. She's already a much-loved member of the team, and we can't wait for audiences to see the energy, creativity and extra sparkle she brings to this exciting new chapter.”

Each week, 10 aspiring MUAs will be judged on their creativity, technical skill and ability to perform under pressure. Working alongside some of the biggest names in the beauty and creative industries, they’ll take on a series of extraordinary Industry Assignments.

The new series will also see MUA’s back at Glow Up Studios where are challenged to complete a Creative Brief to demonstrate their individual creative flair, up against the clock. Each step will decide whether they end up in a head-to-head at the end of the episode, and face elimination from the competition. More details on these big names and assignments will be announced next year.

The skilled MUAs will push their abilities to the limit as they strive to impress the judges, the legendary Val Garland and Dominic Skinner. After eight weeks, the last MUA standing wins a prize that could turn their make-up dreams into reality and is crowned Britian’s Next Make-up Star. It's a high-stakes competition that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish!

Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star (8x60') is a Wall To Wall production for BBC Three and iPlayer.
