ALISON HAMMOND SET TO BE ANNOUNCED AS NEW BAKE OFF HOST -REPORTS

The Mirror reports that the This Morning presenter is to enter the tent this Summer as new co-host alongside Noel Fielding. Hammond replaces Matt Lucas.

The news - at time of writing - has not been announced or confirmed by Channel 4, though TV Zone has reached out to the broadcaster for comment. The official announcement is understood to be imminent.

A source told The Mirror: "Alison is a great choice. She will bring warmth and humour to the tent in spades. We’re laughing just thinking about it."

The Great British Bake Off returns later this year on Channel 4 and All4.
