With just under two weeks to go until the Eurovision grand final, today marks the first day of rehearsals at the PalaOlimpico in Turin, Italy.

Over the course of the next week, all participating countries will take to the Eurovision stage for the first time. In a change introduced by the EBU this year, first rehearsals will be closed entirely to members of the press and TV media.

Eurovision organisers have signed a deal with TikTok and as part of the agreement, will exclusively cover these first run throughs via the social media platform.

The United Kingdom’s Sam Ryder will have his closed first rehearsal on Thursday 5th May.

The PalaOlimpico is widely recognised as the largest, most modern indoor arena facility in Italy. Over the years, the arena has covered many international events, including concerts from Madonna, Lady Gaga and Shakira.

Following this year’s song contest, PalaOlimpico will host the ATP finals in November.
