ITV REVIVE 'NAME THAT TUNE' AS PART OF ALAN CARR'S EPIC GAMESHOW

Name That Tune saw two contestants selected from the studio audience competed in various games to earn cash and other prizes.

The series ran from 1976-1998, and was originally hosted by Tom O'Connor, and later Lionel Blair and Jools Holland. Rounds included Melody Roulette, Sing A Tune, Bid A Tune, Golden Melody and the Big Prize Tune.

At the beginning of the programme, a wheel was spun onstage up to 5 times to determine a cash prize for identifying the tune. The wheel contained amounts from £10 to £100. An outer wheel was also spun which held two spaces marked "Double" and was spun in the opposite direction of the inner. The round continued until one player named three tunes.

The show will return as part of the second series of Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow on ITV, which sees the comedian host rebooted versions of classic game shows. The last series included The Price Is Right, Play Your Cards Right, Bullseye and Strike It Lucky.

Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow is due to return later this year on ITV.
