EMBARRASSING BODIES REBOOT SHELVED BY E4 AFTER ONE SERIES

 EXCLUSIVE

Embarrassing Bodies has been shelved again by Channel 4 after it was rebooted on E4 last year, TV Zone can reveal.

Originally running for eight series from 2007-2015, Embarrassing Bodies was a huge hit for Channel 4, seeing it win two BAFTA Awards and nominated for a National TV Award.

The rebooted series, which aired on E4 in 2022, saw a brave new bunch of patients will bare all and reveal a personal bodily issue that they may been keeping secret for some time.

Thr new team of medical experts were on hand to help examine, explain, and hopefully provide treatment solutions for the patients’ ‘medical mysteries’, all whilst helping to destigmatise many common conditions that often go ignored or untreated.

In a change to the original format, the E4 version of Embarrassing Bodies saw doctors also focus on major health and sexual health issues, with the help of some well-known celebrity voices.

A Channel 4 Spokesperson told TV Zone: "Channel 4, like all broadcasters, makes decisions in the natural cycle of programming about which shows to rest, return or conclude to ensure we always innovate and offer viewers the best range of content. There are currently no immediate plans for Embarrassing Bodies to return to linear tv next year."

Embarrassing Bodies is available to stream on Channel 4.
