DOCTOR WHO UNLEASHED: BEHIND THE SCENES SPIN-OFF TO ACCOMPANY NEW SERIES

If you missed it

As reported by TV Zone in June, and followed up by The Mirror in July, the BBC have reportedly commissioned 'Doctor Who: Unleashed', a behind the scenes spin-off which will go behind the scenes of the main show.

The series, presented by BBC radio presenter Steffan Powell, will follow a similar format to that of Doctor Who Confidential (2005-12) and Doctor Who Extra (2014).

The Mirror reports the spin-off will continue to air alongside Series 14 when Ncuti Gatwa takes the keys to the TARDIS.

Though this has not been confirmed, TV Zone understands Doctor Who: Unleashed will sit on BBC Three and iPlayer after each episode.

A source told The Mirror: "Doctor Who confidential was hugely popular amongst fans when Christopher Eccleston brought the show back as the Ninth Doctor and that continued during David's tenure in the TARDIS as the Tenth Doctor...

"Russell is aware that Doctor Who fans can never get enough content when it comes to the show and how it is made, with David and Catherine making a sensational return to the show, he thought the time was right to bring back the behind the scenes show which will document their comebacks and show how the special was made."

Doctor Who returns this October with an as-yet-untitled special to celebrate the BBC's centenary anniversary.
