Channel 4 has brought together media owners ITV, UKTV, Channel 5, Sky, STV, Warner Bros. Discovery and Ocean Outdoor to gift advertising space for a DEC Turkey-Syria earthquake appeal, voiced by Daniel Craig.

The 90-second film will run tonight (Friday 24th) from 9:55 pm across 29 UK TV channels. Outside, the advert will appear on Ocean Outdoor large format digital screens in 18 locations including Westfield London, Canary Wharf, Liverpool Media Wall, New Street Birmingham and The Printworks Manchester.

Produced without charge by Recipe, the advert features footage of the devastation, highlighting the ever-increasing death toll and showing viewers how they can donate to help with aid.

The advert will also run on Channel 4’s YouTube channel from Friday until Sunday.

Veriça Djurdjevic, Chief Revenue Officer at Channel 4, said: “Seeing the devastation of the earthquake, we wanted to use the power of a joint broadcaster and advertising initiative to help raise awareness for this important cause. We’re incredibly grateful to Recipe and the plethora of other media owners who have also offered their support through this project.”

This special appeal is a shortened, updated version of an original powerful film produced by ITN and shown in Channel 4, Channel 5, ITV and Sky news programmes on 9th February to launch the DEC Turkey-Syria Earthquake Appeal.
