DANCING ON ICE: ITV CLARIFY POSITION ON POSITIVE TESTS AND CELEBRITY ABSENCES

According to The Sun, producers have recently informed all the celebrities that if they test positive for COVID-19, it will mark the end of their time in the competition.

An ITV spokesperson said: "A Covid-19 diagnosis for our cast at this stage would mean two weeks missed and, sadly, an end to their time on the show. It has always been the case that no celeb skater misses more than one public vote."

This comes after Rufus Hound missed two shows (though only missed one public vote) after being contracted by NHS Test & Trace, then subsequently testing positive. Rufus is reportedly expected to return to the rink this weekend.

Billie Shepherd was also given a one-week bye last weekend following the death of her grandmother.

Dancing On Ice continues Sundays at 6pm on ITV.
