DALGLIESH: TRAILER FOR NEW DRAMA COMING TO CHANNEL 5

Channel 5 and Acorn TV have released the trailer for Dalgliesh, a new adaptation of the stories by P.D. James.

The six-part series, which stars Bertie Carvel in the leading role, is due to begin this November.

Dalgliesh starts in 1970s England and follows Dalgliesh’s career to present day as he solves unusual murders and reveals buried secrets. Each murder mystery will offer its own unique setting and extraordinary cast. The six episodes will comprise three two-part stories, all of which are based on three of the Dalgiesh novels.

Sebastian Cardwell, Channel 5's Deputy Director of Programmes said: “We’re delighted to be working alongside Acorn TV , All 3 Media & New Pictures on our next drama commission. P.D. James was one of Britain’s great crime writers and we’re incredibly excited to be creating new adaptations of her work. ”

Dalgliesh launches Thursday 4th November at 9pm on Channel 5 in the UK, and continues at the same time on Friday 5th November.
