CROUCHY'S YEAR LATE EUROS WON'T RETURN FOR THE WORLD CUP -REPORTS

Late night entertainment format won't be returning for another run during the World Cup, it has been revealed.

The Sun reports that BBC bosses have decided against commissioning another run of the format. Earlier reports suggested the BBC were looking to bring it back for the World Cup, which begins in November.

Airing last Summer, Crouchy’s Year Late Euros was presented by Pater Crouch, Maya Jama and Alex Horne. It broadcast several live episodes per week during the Euro 2020 tournament.

In each episode, Peter, Maya and Alex presented their unique take on all the action and will be following all the qualified home nations of England, Scotland and Wales throughout the tournament.

The series featured match reviews and predictions plus a whole host of entertainment features with big name celebrity guests, must see moments and live music courtesy of house band Alex Horne and The Horne Section.

A source told The Sun: "It was decided not to bring it back as it was badly received." A BBC spokesperson confirmed to The Sun: "It was commissioned specifically for the Euros."

TV Zone has approached the BBC for comment.
