CLEAR THE DANCEFLOOR: ALISON HAMMOND PILOTS BBC DANCE SHOW PILOT
A new dance competition from the makers of Strictly Come Dancing has been piloted for the BBC, and the host has been revealed.
Clear The Dancefloor is described as a 'new, high-energy, primetime dance show'. The pilot episode recorded on Wednesday 15th February at Television Centre in London.
A teaser shares: "We’re looking for a fun-loving audience for the pilot episode, where – alongside our superstar judges - you’ll decide who stays and who goes from the competition."
The Sun reports that This Morning presenter Alison Hammond is being lined-up to host the pilot, which could be commissioned for a full series if successful. A source told The Sun: "The BBC thinks it’s a real coup to have scooped Alison for their shiny new show."
They continued: "She’s in hot demand right now and is typically seen as ITV talent. Alison has loads of energy and the viewers at home absolutely love her. She’s refreshing and fun and isn’t afraid to laugh at herself. Excitement around the new series is really building."
