CHANNEL 5 HEAD TO CORNWALL FOR TWO NEW SERIES

Twofour has secured a duo of commissions for Channel 5 to be filmed and produced in the South West region.

Fern Britton will be embarking on a Cornish adventure in My Cornwall With Fern Britton (2 x 60’). The two-part series commissioned by Daniel Pearl will reveal the history, heritage, myths and legends that give 'Kernow' its heart and soul today.

Fern’s lifelong connection with Cornwall spans childhood holidays to working and living in the region. Now it’s time for her to learn more about the county that has captivated her imagination. She will look beyond the bucket-and-spade beaches of Cornwall and explore a place that has its own language, heritage and customs, built on ancient myths and legends and its significant industrial heritage. Fern Britton also presents Twofour's Watercolour Challenge, coming soon to Channel 5.

Channel 5 Commissioning Editor Daniel Pearl said: “Cornwall is a truly unique place and such a special part of the UK. This series will delve into its extremely rich history, culture and heritage”

Every summer millions throng to the beautiful Cornish coastlines for the great summer staycation, but Cornwall: A Year By The Sea (4 x 60’) explores Cornwall as a thriving county all year round. There maybe a thriving tourism industry but Cornwall's proud and hard-working locals still farm the land and fish the sea.

Channel 5 Commissioning Editor Adrian Padmore said: “This is a series that will inspire and surprise in equal measure providing an exclusive insight into why we all love the Cornish way of life.”
