CELEBRITY GOGGLEBOX RETURNS FOR C4's STAND UP TO CANCER
The multi-award-winning Gogglebox returns with a very special celebrity edition for Stand Up To Cancer.
Some of Britain's best-loved personalities turn their hand to being the country's most opinionated viewers. Gogglebox offers sharp, insightful, funny and sometimes emotional critiques of popular and topical TV shows.
At time of writing, the celebs announced to be taking part are chef Gordon Ramsay & Strictly-star daughter Tilly; singer Charlotte Church & actor Luke Evans; Olympian Tom Daley and husband Dustin Lance Black. Other celebrity pairings will be announced closer to transmission.
Gordon & Tilly Ramsay said: "We’re always happy to support the superb work that Stand Up To Cancer do, and despite our TV tastes being polar opposites, we had a lot of fun filming this very special episode of Gogglebox. Every penny raised goes towards finding cures for cancer so I hope we can help raise bucketloads of money."
Charlotte Church: “I’m so thrilled that I get to cosy up on the sofa with my wonderful friend Luke to watch telly for this Gogglebox special. Cancer affects so many – with one in two of us getting a diagnosis in our lifetime – so we’re delighted we can play a small part in supporting the incredible work being done by Stand Up To Cancer.”
Luke Evans said: "Sadly, cancer has affected everyone’s lives in some way. So, it means a lot that Charlotte and I can be involved in this year’s Stand Up To Cancer campaign. I love the show so it’s a bit of a treat to be able to watch TV and enjoy some snacks, all for such a good cause – I can’t wait to see what we’ll be watching!"
In recent years, the famous sofa dwellers supporting the campaign have included Naomi Campbell, Noel Gallagher, Graham Norton, Michelle Visage, Steve Coogan, Liam Gallagher, Ed Sheeran, Big Narstie, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, and Danny and Dani Dyer.
Celebrity Gogglebox for SU2C airs Friday on Channel 4. This page will be announced when further pairings are announced.
