NETFLIX AXE LOUIS TOMLINSON AND ZAYN MALIK ROADTRIP SERIES AFTER INCIDENT DURING FILMING

Netflix have axed Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik's Road Trip series after an incident during filming which led to the former bandmates having a bust up.

The Sun newspaper reports that during production Malik punched Tomlinson and left his former bandmate with a concussion. The Sun's full report can be read here. The incident has led the streamer to drop the three-part series.

Elsewhere, last year Netflix launched new talent contest Building The Band with former One Direction bandmate Liam Payne, who died last Autumn. The music competition brings together 50 of the most talented singers for a truly unique competition show where building the perfect band is all about chemistry. The singers are in complete control as they seek to form their very own bands without ever seeing each other. All they have to go on is musical compatibility, connection, chemistry, and merit.

What will happen when the bands finally meet and … looks, choreography, and style come into play? Incredible performances, compelling drama, and one big goal: find the next great music band.

AJ McClean (Backstreet Boys) is the host the series, with Nicole Scherzinger (Pussycat Dolls) and Kelly Rowland (Destiny's Child) as judges alongside Payne and various guest judges throughout the series.
