CHANNEL 4 CHRISTMAS FESTIVE HIGHLIGHTS AND CHRISTMAS SPECIALS REVEALED

Programming highlights of Channel 4 favourites airing over the festive season have been revealed.



Following a successful first series, Joe Lycett is back in Birmingham for a Christmas special of Late Night Lycett, celebrating the city and its diversity, making stars of the locals and talking to celebrity guests. Channel 4 have also commissioned a second series to air in 2024.



Also returning follow its hit first series, Claudia Winkleman will host a one-off Christmas special of The Piano, once again joined by Lang Lang and Mika. Channel 4 have commissioned a further two series, with the next to air early in 2024.


Adam Hills, Alex Brooker and Josh Widdicombe return with two specials of The Last Leg to celebrate Christmas and the New Year. Elsewhere, Mo Gilligan will talk to a host of celebrity guests in a Christmas special of The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan.



The new series of Jimmy Carr's I Literally Just Told You launches with a celebrity Christmas special which will see four famous faces have the opportunity to compete for a cash prize of up to £25,000 by answering questions that have been written live as the show is being filmed.


Jimmy Carr will also host the annual Big Fat Quiz Of The Year with panel of celebrity and comedy guests to reflect on the events of the 2023 and, attempt, to provide a comical twist.



Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding will host two special editions of The Great British Bake Off which will see previous bakers return to the tent for a second chance to be crowned star baker, they will be judged by Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.


From baking to pottery, four celebrities will compete in a special festive edition of The Great Pottery Throwdown. Hosted by Siobhán McSweeney with returning judges Rich Miller and Keith Brymer-Jones.



Taskmaster will return for its annual New Year Treat. The contestants set to compete are: Deborah Meaden, Kojey Radical, Lenny Rush, Steve Backshall and Zoe Ball. Each of them vying for points and scrapping for the Taskmaster’s fleeting praise while avoiding acerbic judgement in a bid to lay claim to Greg’s unique Trophy of Eyebrows.
