SCARED OF THE DARK 'AXED' BY CHANNEL 4 AFTER ONE SERIES

Channel 4 have seemingly u-turned on recommissioning Scared Of The Dark, with reports now suggesting the second series has been scrapped as part of Channel 4's ongoing cost-saving. Channel 4 say no decision has been made.

Hosted by Danny Dyer, and airing on Channel 4 this Spring, the series saw terrifying challenges along the way for the celebs to win items that'll make their lives easier, but if they fail, vital belongings like shoes and toothbrushes will be taken away.

At the end of it all, the celebs will vote among themselves to declare who has coped best in the black. But not all of them will make it - anyone who can't handle it might be left announcing 'I'm Scared of the Dark'.

A source told The Sun last month: "Everyone at Channel 4 was so pleased with the first series - viewers loved it and it was a huge hit. There was no question about going forward with a second one - now it's a case of signing up another great cast of celebs."

Celebs who took part in the first series are Chris Eubank, Paul Gascoigne, Max George, Nicola Adams, Chris McCausland, Scarlett Moffatt, Donna Preston and Chloe Burrows, they entered a pitch-black bunker to eat, sleep and survive for eight days in complete darkness.

Scared Of The Dark is available to stream now on Channel 4.
