CHANNEL 4 CONFIRM PLANS FOR THE QUEEN'S FUNERAL

Channel 4 confirms plans to mark Queen Elizabeth's funeral on Monday 19th September.



The day begins at 9:20am, when Channel 4 will show back-to-back episodes of Secrets Of The Royal Gardens.



At 10:55am, Channel 4 will broadcast an obituary to Queen Elizabeth II. Former Channel 4 News presenter Jon Snow will chart her extraordinary reign and devotion toa life of service to the UK and Commonwealth.


An hour later, Channel 4 will join the nation in a two minutes silence in memory of Her Majesty.



At 12pm, Channel 4 will broadcast Oscar-nominated documentary A Queen Is Crowned. Narrated by Sir Laurence Oliver, the special programme digitally restores the only colour film of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's coronation, on 2nd June 1953.


A Channel 4 News Summery follows at 1:25pm. At 2:50pm, Channel 4 will show classic wartime musical We'll Meet Again from 1943.



Secrets Of The Royal Gardens returns at 4:10pm, followed by Coastal Railways with Julie Walters.


In the evening, Jamie One-Pan Wonders airs at 8:30pm, followed by 24 Hours In A&E at 9pm. Repeats of First Dates follows from 9:50pm.



No adverts will be broadcast during the day on Channel 4.
