BROOKSIDE: STV ACQUIRE GROUND-BREAKING SOAP

Channel 4's ground-breaking soap, set in a housing estate on the outskirts of Liverpool, is returning to TV in full for the first time.



STV have acquired the Phil Redmond soap, which ran on Channel 4 for 21 years, for STV Player. The first ten episodes will land on Wednesday 1st February, with a further five episodes dropping weekly.



Suentra Sarker said: "Had I known then that Brookside Close would be the road that led me to my surprising and eventful career, I would never have believed it. I am thrilled that STV Player is airing Brookie again after all these years. I never fail to hear fans tell me how much they still miss the show.
